Guided cross-country trips for independent pilots: weather, task of the day, shuttle to launch, retrieve and an evening track debrief. Georgia is home; off-season the same guides lead groups across 16 destinations worldwide.

Awards ceremony of the Paragliding World Cup round: 5th overall out of 91 pilots and 1st in the team standings.
Anatolii Mykhailiuta (right) — head of flight operations and senior instructor at SkyAtlantida: 9,000+ flight hours, 500+ pilots trained, Paragliding World Cup podium finisher. Leads the XC trips and reviews every pilot's profile before the first launch.
Caucasus distance records in three disciplines — 183.89 km open distance, 144.2 km FAI triangle, 189.66 km flat triangle — unbeaten since 2020. All tracks are public.
You book our instructors, the flying and your own distance goal — the first 100 km, then 200, then 300. Not a fixed launch and not a guarantee of flying: we chase the weather — when there is a window, we fly. Weather, the task of the day, the shuttle to launch, guiding on site and the evening track debrief are on us.
The Across-Georgia road trip, 12–13 days: spring (April – mid-May) and September, the Gudauri base — June–September. The Caucasus records were set here, the terrain is ours, and in Gudauri so are the transport and accommodation. Book a month ahead: −20 %.
The big-distance months in the Caucasus: long days, powerful thermals and the very terrain where the records were set.
Svaneti, Gudauri and the high Caucasus: big mountain air and the widest choice of valleys when one area shuts down.
Our signature road trip across the whole of Georgia chasing the best air of the week. Autumn air and autumn light.
Not an XC season: tandems and free flying over snow. For distance in winter — Colombia, Nepal, Brazil.
Anatolii Mykhailiuta holds the Caucasus distance records in three disciplines — unbeaten since 2020. Every track is public.

17 destinations on four continents. Prices are per pilot, in EUR, in two formats: “guiding” and “guiding + stay” (twin/shared for the whole trip). The meeting hub is a town in the country, not a fixed launch: the exact valley and accommodation are chosen about a week before departure from a fresh forecast. The launch-to-landing vertical at our sites is 300–1100 m.
The shortest way into cross-country flying: one guide, one to three pilots (the VIP format — from a single pilot), the Gudauri and Kazbegi launches, no group departure. Priced per day, any number of days; from four pilots the group rate applies. Group-trip rules do not apply here — format and dates are agreed individually.
| Format | 1 pilot | 2 pilots | 3 pilots |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 day | €300 | €500 | €800 |
| 3 days | €900 | €1 500 | €2 400 |
| 7 days | €2 100 | €3 500 | €5 600 |
The day rate does not change: you pay for the days you fly. A 30 % deposit holds your dates.
Prices in EUR for the whole group — a day rate × the number of days, any number of days, no hidden fees; “guiding” format: guide, shuttle to launch, retrieve, evening debrief. The more pilots, the lower the price per pilot: €300 for one, €250 each for two, and from four pilots the group rate — €200 per pilot per day (3 days — €600, 7 days — €1 400 per pilot; 1 : 4, a second guide from five pilots is included; up to eight pilots). A 30 % deposit by invoice secures your dates; the rest is paid on site in euros.
We calculate, invoice and take payment in EUR — the trips run abroad, and we meet in the country where the trip takes place. The remaining 70 % is paid on arrival, on day one at the meeting point, in cash or by transfer.
Every morning starts the same way and ends in a different place. The launch, the valley, the region — even the country — can change if the better window is there.
We compare areas and pick the best window of the day
A task with short, standard and extended versions
Transport to the chosen launch, fuel included
You fly the task — guided, but on your own
Radio and live tracking where available
We come and pick you up from any landing. Included

Every enquiry goes to the manager on WhatsApp or Telegram. They check your level and goals, answer questions and verify the real status of the group.
Dates, a destination or “open to suggestions”, how many days and whether you travel alone
Level, hours, wing, XC and mountain experience, goals — to place you in the right group
We check who is already signing up for your dates and confirm the real status
Full transparency first: price, inclusions, the group rule, the terms. Then the deposit by invoice
Your place is in the calendar. Now — and only now — buy flights and book a room. The remaining 70 % on arrival
Trips are led by Anatolii Mykhailiuta — holder of the Caucasus distance records in three disciplines (XContest 2020), Paragliding World Cup podium finisher, 9,000+ flight hours — and the SkyAtlantida team: 18+ XC pilots, briefings in Russian and English. One guide per four pilots; a safety briefing and the participant document before the first launch.
You book our instructors, the flying and your distance goal — the first 100, 200 or 300 km. Not a fixed launch and not a guarantee of flying. We work with the weather: when there is a window, we fly. How far you fly depends on the conditions, your level and your willingness to learn.
No serious operator can guarantee flying weather. We use local knowledge, forecasts and flexible logistics to squeeze the maximum real flying out of the trip. If the conditions are wrong, the guide changes the area, the timing or the task — or decides not to fly. Safety always comes before the schedule.
That is exactly why the trips are flexible — we are not tied to one launch. When the format and logistics allow, we go where the best window is: another launch, another valley, another region or even another country. The final choice of site and task always depends on real conditions and the level of the group.
The price is calculated for at least four pilots. If there are not four, you can wait for the group to form, join a group that has formed on nearby dates, or take your deposit back. You can also run your own destination as a private trip by paying the minimum for four. In Georgia there is one more option — the VIP format by the day: a private guide for €300 (one pilot), €500 (two) or €800 (three) per day, and from four pilots the group rate of €200 per pilot per day; as more pilots join, your price goes down. We never move you without your consent. Do not buy flights until we have confirmed the group.
A minimum of four paying pilots, a maximum of eight; the guide ratio is 1 : 4, and a second guide joins the larger groups. We keep the groups small on purpose: the guide really knows everyone's level and goal.
You need to be an independent pilot with your own wing who launches, thermals and lands safely alone. We then place you by total and recent hours, thermalling independence, mountain and XC experience, wing class, SIV and goals. Each destination has its own requirements — see its page. Not there yet? Start with the basic or advanced course.
We build compatible groups, and every task has a short, standard and extended version. Levels are never identical, but we minimise the gap: nobody should wait all week, and nobody should be left 100 km down the course.
It is the goal we work towards, not a promise. Distance depends on the flying window, your level and your decisions in the air. What we do guarantee is the work: forecast analysis, task choice, briefing, coordination in the air, retrieve and a track debrief so that the next flight is better than the last.
The “guiding” format: a guide on site, forecast analysis and site choice, the task and briefings, shuttle to launch (car, 4×4 or cable car, fuel and lift included), retrieve from any landing, all moves along the route, live tracking where available, debriefs and theory. “Guiding + stay” — the same plus twin/shared accommodation for the whole trip, a supplement of €330–440 depending on length. Not included: meals, getting to the meeting point and airport transfers, flights, insurance, site fees, flying permits outside Georgia, personal equipment, visas and optional activities.
Two steps. First — a 30 % deposit by invoice, which the manager sends on WhatsApp, Telegram or by email; it secures your place. Second — the remaining 70 % on arrival: on day one at the meeting point, before flying starts, in cash or by transfer. Nothing is due in between. Payment is in euros: we calculate in EUR and invoice only after the manager has confirmed the price, the group status and the terms. The deposit is non-refundable, with one exception: the group does not form and we cannot run the tour — then it is refunded.
Insurance is mandatory and must explicitly cover paragliding — at least €100 000, with search and rescue, helicopter evacuation and repatriation; for remote and big-mountain trips also altitude limits and country coverage. Equipment: a certified wing, harness, reserve, helmet, a vario with track logging, radio, phone, charger and clothing for the conditions. The full list is on the pilot requirements page.
Russian and English. Briefings and debriefs are held in the language the group needs.
It depends on the format. In “guiding” you book your own room — we tell you where the group usually stays. In “guiding + stay” we book it, a supplement of €330–440 per trip. You get to the country and to the meeting hub yourself in both formats; we can arrange an airport transfer separately — in a group the cost of the car is shared. Everything that moves you around the flying is always included: shuttle, retrieve and moves along the route.
Flight debriefs, theory and the training programme continue on non-flying days — that is part of the trip. Everything else is optional and paid separately: in Georgia — quad bikes, buggies, snowmobiles, rafting, horses and tours; in other countries — whatever local partners offer.
Write to us on WhatsApp or Telegram: dates, destination, hours and goals. The manager checks the group status and confirms the trip — you receive an invoice, pay the 30 % deposit, and your place goes into the calendar. The remaining 70 % on arrival. Anatolii sees your profile before the trip starts.
We will answer straight: which destination and which group suit you now — and if nothing suits this season, we will say that too. We reply in about 30 minutes, 09:00–21:00 (GMT+4), daily.
