Private ski and snowboard lessons with an experienced instructor plus SkyRent equipment hire — all booked through SkyAtlantida in a single message. It suits every level: from complete beginners to confident riders who want to refine their technique.
The instructor works only with you or your party of up to 4, and the programme follows your goals and pace — so progress is faster than in a large group. SkyAtlantida acts as the organiser and coordinator: the lessons themselves are delivered by independent professional instructors.
Three formats: 2 hours — ideal for a first lesson and basic confidence; 3 hours — for working on technique and control; Full Day — a whole day with a private instructor. The slot is fixed: a 10:00–12:00 lesson ends at exactly 12:00.
The season runs from 5 December to 15 April. Lessons take place daily, including weekends, from 10:00 to 16:00.
The instructor decides on site, purely on safety grounds. If SkyAtlantida cancels a lesson because of unsafe weather, we first offer a new date and, if that is not possible, refund the payment minus bank fees within 5–10 business days. Ordinary snowfall or cold does not cancel a lesson — just dress warmer.

No experience needed — the Beginner Ski Art and Snowboard Starter formats are designed for starting from zero. In the first 2-hour lesson most people learn the stance, stopping and first turns on a gentle slope; after 2–3 days of lessons beginners usually ride easy runs with confidence.
Layers: a non-cotton base layer, a fleece or light down mid-layer and a waterproof jacket and pants, plus warm gloves, goggles and one thin ski sock. If anything is missing, SkyRent rents jackets, pants, one-piece suits, gloves, goggles and winter boots per the price list.
A helmet is strongly recommended at every level, and goggles protect your eyes from wind, snow and bright mountain sun. Rental: helmet 25 GEL, goggles 20 GEL per day; they are not part of the equipment sets, so add them when booking.
The price covers the instructor for the booked slot only. Lift pass and rental gear are paid separately — you need a lift pass for the lifts and buy it yourself at the resort.
Current prices by format are in the "Formats & prices" block above. Deposit: instructor — 95 GEL per day (reservation); rental — 30 GEL per reservation per day. It secures the booking and is part of the price; the balance is paid on site. In bad weather or a safety cancellation — a free reschedule, or a refund minus bank fees and services already provided (5–10 business days). No-show or guest-initiated cancellation — the deposit is not refunded.

We reply daily 09:00–21:00 (GMT+4); the booking is confirmed once the deposit is received. Book ahead in season — busy dates fill up fast.
If the client cancels, reschedules or does not show up, the deposit is non-refundable — the instructor and gear have already been reserved. If SkyAtlantida cancels for weather or safety reasons, you get a free new date or a refund minus bank fees and any services already provided, within 5–10 business days.
The lesson still ends at the originally booked time — there are no free extensions, as the instructor may have the next client. If you are more than 15 minutes late you risk losing the slot, and the deposit is not refunded for a no-show. So arrive 30 minutes early with rental and at least 20 minutes early with your own gear.
Most lessons start near Café-Bar PILOT in New Gudauri or in the gondola area — we confirm the exact spot in advance depending on weather, lift operation and your level. Transfer is not included; SkyAtlantida arranges transfers across Georgia separately on request.
Choose the type (skis or snowboard, boots, helmet, clothing) and send your height, weight, shoe size and rental dates — we prepare the set in advance. At pick-up you need a passport or ID card; the gear is photographed and shown to you before handover.
The document is a guarantee of financial responsibility for the rental period: a cash deposit cannot cover serious damage or a full replacement. It stays with SkyRent and is returned as soon as the gear has been inspected and accepted back in proper condition.
Minor base scratches, light edge marks and loss of shine are normal wear and are not charged. Deep scratches, rock hits, torn-out edges, chips, delamination, binding or boot damage are charged per the price list on the rental terms page (base repair from 100 GEL) plus equipment downtime; if repair is impossible, a full replacement applies.
Snowparks, rails, boxes, pipes, jibbing and tricks are prohibited unless agreed in advance. Early and late in the season Gudauri can have exposed rocks — if rocks are visible, take off your skis or board and walk across: riding over rocks counts as gross negligence. For freeride there is a dedicated Pro / Freeride Set — discuss your plans when booking.
Yes to both. Rental can be booked on its own for the dates you need, and you are welcome to bring your own gear to a lesson — then arriving at least 20 minutes early is enough. Rental terms are the same whether or not you take a lesson.
Of course — a phone or action camera is welcome, and the instructor will point out safe spots to stop for a shot. Keep in mind that photo breaks count towards the booked time, and keep your phone in an inside pocket: batteries drain faster in the cold.
Skiing and snowboarding put real strain on knees, back and heart: with injuries, recent surgery or chronic conditions, consult your doctor and tell us when booking. During pregnancy only after medical advice, given the risk of falls. No alcohol before the lesson: the instructor may refuse to proceed on safety grounds.
No — the lesson price covers the instructor only and the rental covers the gear only. We recommend travel insurance with winter-sports cover for all your riding days, including instructor-led lessons.
