In New Gudauri, Loft 1 – next to the Gondola ski lift, Spar, restaurants, a pharmacy, exchange points and ski services. Cafe Bar PILOT is a handy landmark nearby.
Who is this stay format for?
Skiers and snowboarders who want to be close to the slope without extra logistics: weekend trips and short 2–4-day getaways, active holidays and travellers using Gudauri as a base for tours and outdoor experiences. It is a practical stay, not a full-service hotel.
What rooms are available?
Two options: Room 115 with a single bed + double bed – for one guest, a couple or a small group, and Room 105 with a single bed – for one guest. The page shows real photos of both rooms.
How much does a night cost?
Prices start from 25 EUR per night. The exact rate depends on dates, room and number of guests and is confirmed at booking, before payment.
How far is the Gondola?
The hostel is in central New Gudauri right by the Gondola – the lift, shops and cafés are within walking distance, with no shuttles needed. We will confirm the exact walking time at booking.
What are the check-in and check-out times? Can I arrive late?
Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out by 11:00. Meeting and check-in are at Café Bar PILOT; contact us 1 day before arrival. Night check-in or check-out (22:00–07:00) carries an 80 GEL service fee; early check-in or late check-out is by arrangement and subject to availability, +50% of the nightly rate.
What facilities are there – kitchen, Wi-Fi, towels, parking?
Wi-Fi is available and we give you the password at check-in. The kitchen, bed linen and towels are confirmed for the chosen room before payment – just ask on WhatsApp when booking. There is parking at the complex, but the number of spaces is limited and it may be paid – tell us in advance if you arrive by car. Either way, Spar, restaurants and a pharmacy are right nearby.
Can I store skis, a snowboard and luggage?
Storage for gear and luggage before check-in or after check-out is confirmed at booking. A tip from hostel practice: travel light, and arrange rental gear in advance – ski services are right nearby.
What should I bring to the hostel?
For a comfortable stay: earplugs and a sleep mask, flip-flops or slippers, a small padlock for your belongings, a charger or power bank, and your own toiletries; in winter – warm layers, a hat, gloves and snow-ready footwear. Ask at booking whether towels are provided – if not, bring a quick-dry one.
It's my first hostel – what are the etiquette rules?
The key is respect for other guests: keep quiet in the evening and at night, use headphones instead of a speaker, keep lights and noise to a minimum when arriving late or leaving early, and keep shared areas tidy. If you leave early, pack the night before, and do not leave your things on other beds or shared surfaces.
How do I keep valuables safe?
Keep documents, cash and electronics on you or in a padlocked compartment of your luggage; ask at booking whether lockable storage is available in the room. Do not leave expensive gear unattended at the entrance.
What is near the hostel?
Within walking distance: the Gondola, Spar, a pharmacy, exchange points, restaurants and bars, ski services and Cafe Bar PILOT – a convenient meeting point for SkyAtlantida transfers and activities.
Where can I eat, and is breakfast included?
Breakfast is not listed as included on the page – please confirm at booking. There are plenty of nearby places for breakfast, dinner and an easy evening out, and Spar is right there for groceries.
Is the hostel only for winter?
No. It works in winter and in other seasons too – in the warm season Gudauri becomes a base for quad bikes, buggies, rafting, horseback riding, paragliding and private tours around Georgia.
How do I get to Gudauri?
SkyAtlantida can arrange a transfer to Gudauri in advance from Tbilisi, Kutaisi or the Kazbegi/Vladikavkaz direction – it is booked separately. Communication in English and Russian.
What if the road is closed in winter?
The Georgian Military Highway can close in winter due to snow and avalanches; the carrier decides on departure based on safety. If the road is closed, message us as early as possible and we will help with logistics. The accommodation deposit is non-refundable; a refund is made only if we cancel the booking (unsafe weather / force majeure).
Can I add ski school, rentals, snowmobiles, buggies or tours?
Yes. Transfers, ski and snowboard school, gear rental, snowmobiles, quad bikes, buggies (including Maverick and VIP Buggy Defender), horseback riding, rafting, tandem paragliding and day or multi-day tours in Georgia can all be arranged alongside your stay. Every activity is booked and paid separately.
Can I stay with children?
Children stay together with their parents. Tell us the number of guests and the children's ages at booking – we will suggest a suitable format (Room 115 with a single + double bed suits a small group) and confirm the conditions before payment.
How do I book the hostel?
Message us on WhatsApp with your check-in and check-out dates, preferred room and number of guests. We check availability and send a deposit invoice; accurate passport details of the responsible guest are required. Once the deposit is paid, you receive a confirmation and arrival instructions. We reply daily 09:00–21:00 (GMT+4), usually within about 30 minutes.
How do I pay, and what is the deposit?
The deposit is 15 GEL / 5 EUR per night per person: it secures your dates and counts towards the total price. Pay by international transfer or via Bank of Georgia — the details are in the invoice; the booking is held for 60 minutes from the invoice. The balance is paid at check-in, together with a refundable security deposit of 100 GEL per person.
Can I cancel or change my dates?
The deposit is non-refundable: if the guest cancels, it is not returned. A refund is made only if we cancel the booking (unsafe weather / force majeure). See the Accommodation terms for details.
Who takes the booking and on what terms?
SkyAtlantida (a brand of sole proprietor Serhii Mykhailiuta, reg. No. 329338355): we confirm dates, take the deposit, meet you and check you in, and help with transfers and activities. The stay follows the Accommodation terms: deposit, check-in and check-out, security deposit, property inspection, liability for damage and house rules.
