How to read the calendar. The autumn SIV modules are standalone, with a gap between them: two separate modules, not one continuous week. The May modules are planned — they are confirmed once a group forms. The deposit is part of the price and holds your date. No window that fits? write to us and we will find dates.

1-to-1 format

Private 1-to-1 training

One instructor, one student. The instructor’s full attention is on you, so you progress faster. If your budget allows, this is the format we recommend.

  • On school equipment — 400 € per day
  • On your own equipment — 300 € per day

The 100 € per day difference covers the rental and wear of the school equipment.

Your own equipment

Your own equipment: how to buy

We are sub-dealers of paragliding equipment and work with two manufacturers — Niviuk and Ozone. In our experience they are the best of the best.

  1. The instructor recommends a wing for your goals. Start with class A; class B at most, if you are very sporty and ambitious, and only by the instructor’s decision. We do not advise starting on a B wing.
  2. The manufacturer issues the invoice directly — you pay the manufacturer, not us.
  3. Production and delivery take 1 to 3 months, depending on stock and factory workload.
  4. Train on your own equipment — 300 € per day instead of 400 €.

Budget: a full kit is from 4,000 to 5,000 €, depending on the kit.

Plan ahead: equipment can only be ordered in advance. If you want to start the course on your own kit, place the order 1–3 months before training. If it has not arrived, you start on school equipment.

Online school · theory

Theory online — included in the course price

Three tracks, ten theory modules, 700 questions with explanations and exam simulators in the format of the real exam. For course students access is included: the whole course plus 3 months after it ends. Pilots from other schools can buy 12-month access. Every module opens in English — read the first sections before you decide. Behind the access code the full text and the question banks are still in Russian while the English versions are being prepared; your code works for both languages.

Why nine days, not three

A skill can’t be rushed

A cross-country flight is not “three more days” after the basics. It’s three different skills, each needing its own block.

  • Block A — wing control. Active piloting, precise launch and landing, control in turbulence.
  • Block B — thermals & ridge. Reading the weather, climbing in a thermal, ridge work, safe spacing in a group.
  • Block C — cross-country. Transitions between thermals, tactics, route planning and a track debrief every evening.

Three days can give a taste, but not a stable skill. That’s why the advanced course is nine days, in three blocks you can take one at a time.

Ratio & groups

One guide per five pilots

Small groups aren’t marketing — they’re safety and pace of learning.

  • 1 : 5 — one guide per five pilots on every course.
  • On XC trips the ratio is 1 : 4; a second guide joins a bigger group (up to 8).
  • SIV — 1 : 1 in the air: the instructor personally guides each exercise over radio, group of up to 6.
  • We check readiness before launch and coach where needed.
Instructors

Taught by people who fly

Courses are led by Anatolii Mykhailiuta and the SkyAtlantida team.

  • 500+ pilots trained
  • 9,000+ flight hours, competitive XC background, prize winner of international competitions
  • Flight decisions are made by a pilot with real experience, not a sales manager

XC trips for independent pilots

Once the basic and advanced courses are done — guided cross-country trips: weather, task, retrieve and track debrief. Group of 4–8 pilots, a 1 : 4 ratio — one guide per four; a second guide joins a bigger group.

Documents & safety

Before the course — a briefing and a participant document

Learning an adventure sport involves real risk. Before starting, everyone takes a safety briefing and signs a participant document (acceptance of risk). It’s standard practice that protects both the pilot and the school.
