A guided off-road ride in a spacious six-seater Defender buggy across Gudauri's mountain trails, open valleys, river crossings and viewpoint stops. It suits families, friends and small groups who want to ride together, in comfort and without racing.

The standard buggy seats 1–2 guests; Turbo Maverick takes up to 4 and is all about power and adrenaline. Defender is the most spacious option: up to 6 guests in one vehicle, a smooth ride, wide views and a premium, relaxed experience rather than a thrill ride.

One Defender carries up to 6 guests — the price is per buggy, not per person. For a larger group, book several buggies: tell us the number of guests in your request and we will arrange the vehicles.

30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes (maximum 2 hours). Routes are point-to-point, not loops: the longer the ride, the further and more scenic the spots Defender reaches. The 90- and 120-minute formats: summer; in winter — weather permitting, confirmed 1–2 days before.

Yes, Defender operates year-round. In winter (5 Dec – 15 Apr) we run 30- and 60-minute rides. Longer rides are not guaranteed in winter — they depend on snow and weather and can be confirmed 1–2 days before the activity. In summer — 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes. Exact season dates and available slots are confirmed at booking.

In bad weather or poor trail conditions the route, start time or format is adjusted; if riding is unsafe, we offer a free reschedule or refund the deposit minus bank fees and any services already provided (5–10 business days). The decision rests with the responsible instructor on site, based on safety only.

Driving — 18+ with a category B (international) driving licence; passenger — a child from age 2 held by a parent. The driver must hold a valid category B driving licence (proof that you can drive a car). Before the ride, the driver signs a document accepting full responsibility for the vehicle. Only the person who signed it may drive — one driver per buggy, everyone else rides as a passenger. Swapping seats or handing the wheel to a passenger is not allowed. Age guideline for all activities — up to 70; older guests should consult their doctor and refrain if in doubt. Parents or guardians are responsible for children; if a child behaves unsafely for themselves or the group, the instructor may remove them from the activity with the full payment retained.

No, previous buggy experience is not required: there is a briefing before the start and a guide with you on the route.

Closed shoes are mandatory; dress for the weather in layers — it is cooler in the mountains than in the village and windy on the move. In summer bring sunglasses, sunscreen and water; in winter a warm jacket, gloves and waterproof shoes. Helmets are provided; extra warm clothing, gloves and shoes can be rented at our Gudauri rental.

The briefing is mandatory for everyone: keep a 15–20 m gap to other vehicles, slow down on wet, rocky and narrow sections, stay on the established route, keep right when passing oncoming vehicles and follow the guide's commands immediately. Current prices by format are in the "Formats & prices" block above. Deposit: 150 GEL / 50 EUR per buggy. It secures the booking and is part of the price; the balance is paid on site. In bad weather or a safety cancellation — a free reschedule, or a refund minus bank fees and services already provided (5–10 business days). No-show or guest-initiated cancellation — the deposit is not refunded.

The deposit is non-refundable for client cancellation or no-show; if SkyAtlantida cancels for weather or safety reasons, the booking is rescheduled for free, or the deposit is refunded minus non-recoverable bank fees and services already provided (5–10 business days). Arrive 30 minutes early: late arrival reduces your riding time, and more than 15 minutes late may cost you the slot.

The meeting point is Café Bar PILOT in New Gudauri; the exact start location is sent after booking confirmation. Transfer is not included and is paid separately — price on request.

Of course — the route includes photo stops at the best viewpoints of the day. While moving, secure or stow your phone and camera: it is bumpy and things get lost easily. Personal photo/video services are not included and can be added separately on request.

Insurance is not included. We strongly recommend arriving with a policy that covers active and adventure activities in Georgia and checking in advance that buggy tours are included.

Booking and coordination are in English and Russian via WhatsApp. The guide's language on the route is confirmed at booking: tell us which language you prefer and we will take it into account when assigning the guide.

Defender rides smoothly at a relaxed pace, but on bumpy dirt tracks. If you are prone to motion sickness, face forward, look at the horizon, avoid a heavy meal before the start and take your usual remedy if needed.
