From your first step to mountain flights

The basic course is for people who have never flown. Over 10 days you go from ground handling to your first mountain flights: you fly the wing yourself, the instructor guides you by radio. Full independence, without the radio, comes later, usually over a season of practice. In the Pilot Logbook this is level 2 (solo) of the “Mountain flights on radio” step.

Program

How the training runs

Step by step, without rushing — every skill is reinforced in practice.

Days 1–3

Ground handling

Getting to know the wing, ground handling, launch and braking, basic theory: aerodynamics and weather.

Days 4–7

First flights

Short hops on a gentle slope, control at altitude, launch and landing under supervision.

Days 8–10

Going solo

You fly the wing yourself, the instructor stays on the radio, every flight is debriefed.

Online school

Theory online — included in the course price

The Basic Pilot track: five modules — Georgian air law, meteorology, flight safety and first aid, equipment, aerodynamics. 200 questions with explanations and an exam simulator in the real format: 20 questions, 80 % pass mark. Access opens when you pay for the course and lasts the whole course plus 3 months after it. Theory runs in parallel with practice. Module texts are in Russian for now.

The difference is the equipment. If you already own a suitable, certified wing, harness and reserve, you train on your own gear at €130 a day — the instructor confirms first that it fits a beginner’s level. If you don’t, or your gear isn’t suitable, you fly the school’s complete set (wing, harness, helmet, radio) at €200 a day. Deposit €300 — it holds your place and is part of the course price; the balance is paid by invoice after the manager confirms. The price covers the training; accommodation, transfers and insurance are separate. Prices are indicative and may change with the season — the manager confirms the final amount on WhatsApp. Payment in Georgian lari (GEL); if priced in EUR, converted at the bank rate on the day of payment.
