The route is beautiful in any season and runs almost year-round; spring and autumn are especially pleasant for walking. The Tbilisi — Mtskheta road has no mountain passes, so seasonal closures are not typical here; in bad weather the stops are simply adjusted.
Comfortable shoes, water, sun protection in summer and a light jacket or umbrella in the shoulder seasons. Women should bring a scarf for the churches, and everyone needs clothing that covers knees and shoulders. Some cash in GEL is handy for candles, donations and souvenirs at the Mtskheta market.
Yes, both are active Orthodox churches. Women should cover their head, knees and shoulders; men need long trousers and must remove hats. Scarves and wraps are usually available at the entrance, but it is safer to bring your own.
Outside and at the viewpoints — as much as you like; this is one of the most photogenic parts of Georgia. Inside the churches ask your guide: usually photos are fine without flash and not during services.
Entrance tickets are not included and are paid on the spot if required at the chosen sites. At the churches of Mtskheta a small donation or buying candles is usually all that is expected — carry some cash.

No. This is a sightseeing route suited to most guests who are comfortable walking at a normal touristic pace. There are some slopes and stone paths at Jvari and in Tbilisi Old Town, so wear comfortable shoes.
Meals are not included, but Mtskheta and Tbilisi Old Town have plenty of cafés with Georgian cuisine — your guide will suggest options and stop where it suits you. A restaurant can also be agreed in advance if you wish.
Yes. The pace of the day and the logic of stops adapt to you, and extra stops outside the base programme are agreed and paid separately. Active add-ons such as quad bikes are usually planned for another day of your trip and booked separately.
The tour runs in any weather — most sites are outdoors, so bring an umbrella or jacket. If the trip is cancelled due to unsafe conditions or for operational reasons, you get a free reschedule, and if rescheduling is impossible the deposit is refunded minus payment-system fees (5–10 business days).
If you cancel after confirmation, do not show up, or arrive so late that the tour cannot start as scheduled, the deposit is non-refundable. Rescheduling for weather or safety reasons is free. Full terms are on the Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy pages.
