Booking Terms & Participation Conditions for Tandem Paragliding Flights

Please read these conditions carefully before booking or participating. They explain SkyAtlantida’s role, booking and payment rules, weather dependency, participant responsibilities, medical requirements and the inherent risks of tandem paragliding.

Effective date: 31 July 2026

SkyAtlantida › Paragliding flights › Booking terms

Important: SkyAtlantida is not the flight operator

SkyAtlantida provides booking, coordination and organization services. We help arrange tandem paragliding activities and connect clients with independent professional service providers. Flights are carried out by licensed third-party operators and pilots assigned by those operators.

Acceptance of these conditions

By submitting a booking request, paying a deposit or balance, confirming a reservation, checking in or participating in a flight arranged through SkyAtlantida, you confirm that you have had an opportunity to read, understand and accept these Booking Terms and Participation Conditions.

1. Scope and Contract Formation

These Terms apply to tandem paragliding reservations arranged through SkyAtlantida in Georgia. They form part of the agreement between SkyAtlantida and the person making the booking for booking, coordination and organization services.

A booking is formed only when SkyAtlantida confirms the reservation after receiving the required deposit or other agreed payment. A request, provisional discussion or unpaid hold does not guarantee availability.

The independent operator may require each participant to complete a separate registration form, safety declaration, medical declaration, insurance form, consent form or participation waiver before the flight. Those documents govern operational participation and do not replace these Terms.

A person booking for others must provide accurate information, send these Terms to every participant and ensure that each adult has an opportunity to read and accept them. One adult cannot waive another adult’s mandatory legal rights merely by making a booking on that person’s behalf.

2. SkyAtlantida’s Role and the Independent Provider

SkyAtlantida

SkyAtlantida assists with enquiries, availability, reservations, communication, scheduling, payment coordination and connecting participants with an independent activity provider.

Independent provider

The third-party operator and assigned pilot control operational matters, including equipment, participant assessment, briefing, launch selection, take-off, route, flight and landing decisions.

SkyAtlantida does not replace the professional judgment of the operator or assigned pilot. The pilot or operator may delay, modify or refuse participation whenever they consider this appropriate for safety, operational or regulatory reasons.

Booking-service confirmation SkyAtlantida provides booking and organization services. We coordinate bookings and connect clients with independent professional service providers. Activities are carried out by licensed third-party operators. Payment confirms the purchase of booking and organization services.

3. Booking, Deposit, Price and Payment

  • The standard reservation deposit is 95 GEL or 35 EUR per participant, unless a different amount is clearly stated in the individual booking confirmation.
  • A requested slot is secured only after the required deposit has been received and SkyAtlantida has confirmed the reservation.
  • The remaining balance, selected flight package, weight surcharge and any optional service are paid separately under the conditions stated in the booking confirmation.
  • The flight type is selected on site according to actual weather and operational conditions, available providers and the participant’s stated preference.
  • Any optional supplement or extra service requires the participant’s agreement before it is charged.
  • Actual bank, payment-system, intermediary and currency-conversion charges may be borne by the client where disclosed and permitted by applicable law. SkyAtlantida does not charge more for a payment instrument than the cost lawfully attributable to its use.
  • Unless expressly stated otherwise, the confirmed meeting time is an operational appointment time and not a guaranteed take-off time.

4. Weight Limits and Surcharges

Weight must be provided accurately and must include clothing and personal items worn during the flight. Participants may be weighed during check-in.

Participant weightAdditional chargeParticipation status
Below 80 kgNo weight surchargeSubject to the provider’s standard assessment
80.0–99.9 kg+100 GELSubject to pilot, equipment and weather approval
100.0–109.9 kg+150 GELSubject to pilot, equipment and weather approval
110.0–125.0 kg+250 GELOnly with explicit pilot and operational approval
More than 125 kgNot applicableParticipation is not permitted

A surcharge does not guarantee acceptance The operator or assigned pilot may apply a lower operational weight limit because of wind, temperature, equipment specifications, launch conditions, participant mobility or other safety considerations.

If a participant provides an inaccurate weight, withholds their weight or arrives above the permitted limit, participation may be refused. A refusal caused by inaccurate information or participant ineligibility is not treated as a weather cancellation.

5. Health, Medical Fitness and Disclosure

SkyAtlantida is not a medical provider, does not conduct medical examinations and does not determine whether a participant is medically fit to fly. Medical records or certificates are not ordinarily reviewed when a booking is accepted.

Each participant is personally responsible for assessing their physical and psychological fitness. If there is any doubt, the participant must consult a qualified medical professional before booking and participating. Medical advice does not remove the operator’s or pilot’s right to refuse participation.

Before the activity, the participant must disclose directly to the independent operator or assigned pilot any condition that could affect safe participation, including:

  • pregnancy or possible pregnancy;
  • heart, cardiovascular, blood-pressure or respiratory conditions;
  • epilepsy, seizures, fainting or unexplained loss of consciousness;
  • recent surgery, fracture, injury or hospitalization;
  • serious neck, back, spinal, hip, knee or joint problems;
  • neurological conditions, severe vertigo or balance disorders;
  • panic attacks, severe anxiety or another condition that may affect the ability to understand or follow instructions;
  • medication that may impair alertness, coordination, judgment or physical ability;
  • any other condition that could be aggravated by running, take-off, flight, altitude or landing.

Do not participate if medically unfit A participant who conceals or fails to disclose a relevant condition is responsible for consequences caused or materially contributed to by that non-disclosure, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

6. Inherent Risks and Voluntary Participation

Tandem paragliding is an adventure aviation activity involving inherent and unavoidable risks. Even when professional providers, suitable equipment and established procedures are used, all risks cannot be eliminated.

Risks may include sudden weather changes, turbulence, rapid changes in wind, hard or unsuccessful take-off or landing, slipping or falling, collision, equipment malfunction, pilot or participant error, uneven or mountainous terrain, transport-related incidents, altitude-related effects and delayed access to emergency or medical assistance.

These risks may result in property damage, financial loss, physical or psychological injury, permanent disability or death.

By participating, the participant confirms that participation is voluntary, that the inherent risks are understood and accepted, and that all safety instructions from the assigned pilot or independent operator will be followed. Acceptance of inherent risk does not waive any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Age, Minors and Ability to Participate

  • Children may generally participate from 5 years of age, subject to body size, harness fit, weather conditions and approval by the independent operator and assigned pilot.
  • Every participant under 18 must have the informed consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • The parent or legal guardian is responsible for providing accurate information about the minor’s age, weight, health and ability to follow instructions.
  • The operator or pilot may refuse participation if a participant cannot run, maintain the required body position, understand instructions, fit the available equipment or otherwise participate appropriately.

8. Participant Conduct and Safety Instructions

Every participant must:

  • provide accurate personal, age, weight, contact and relevant health information;
  • attend the briefing and follow all instructions immediately;
  • wear suitable footwear and clothing for mountain and weather conditions;
  • secure or remove loose items when instructed;
  • remain sober and capable of making informed decisions;
  • avoid conduct that endangers the participant, pilot, personnel or any third party.

Participation may be refused or stopped if a person appears intoxicated, impaired, aggressive, medically unfit, unable to follow instructions, inadequately equipped or otherwise unsuitable for the activity.

A refusal caused by a participant’s condition, conduct, late arrival, inaccurate information or failure to follow instructions is not treated as a weather cancellation.

9. Weather, Timing, Route and Flight Duration

Paragliding is fully weather-dependent. Forecasts are informative only and cannot guarantee that a flight will take place at a particular time, from a particular launch or for a precise duration.

  • The independent operator and assigned pilot make the final operational decision using actual conditions at the location.
  • The meeting time, take-off time, launch site, route, altitude, landing location and flight duration may change.
  • Delays may occur while waiting for a suitable weather and operational window.
  • A participant cannot require take-off when the operator or pilot considers conditions unsuitable.
  • Advertised flight durations are approximate ranges and may vary because of wind, altitude, air traffic, launch access, thermal activity and other operational conditions.

Once a flight has been performed, a variation within the advertised package range, or a reasonable safety-related adjustment to duration, route, altitude, launch site or landing point, does not by itself create a right to a full or partial refund. Any material failure to provide the agreed service remains subject to mandatory applicable law.

10. Arrival, Check-in and Delays

  • Participants must arrive at the confirmed meeting point 30 minutes before the stated appointment time, unless instructed otherwise.
  • Check-in, weighing, briefing, transport to the launch and waiting for suitable conditions may affect the actual take-off time.
  • A late participant may lose the reserved slot because weather windows and provider schedules are limited.
  • SkyAtlantida may try to coordinate another available slot but cannot guarantee replacement availability.

11. Rescheduling

  • One courtesy rescheduling may be offered when the request is made at least 24 hours before the booking and another suitable slot is available.
  • A courtesy change is not guaranteed and depends on operator availability, capacity and weather.
  • A second or subsequent participant-requested change requires a new deposit.
  • A deposit transferred to a courtesy rescheduled booking remains non-refundable if the participant later cancels or cannot attend.
  • Weather or operational time corrections made on the activity date are not treated as participant-requested rescheduling.

12. Cancellation, No-Show and Refund Policy

Participant cancellation

A confirmed paragliding reservation is a leisure service arranged for a specific date or performance period. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the standard 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract does not apply to that specific-date reservation.

Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable if the participant cancels, changes plans, misses transport, becomes unavailable, arrives late, does not attend, provides materially incorrect information, exceeds the permitted weight, is medically unfit or is refused because of conduct or failure to follow instructions.

Late arrival and no-show

A participant who arrives too late to use the reserved operational slot may be treated as a no-show. Any alternative offered by SkyAtlantida is a courtesy and does not create an obligation to provide another slot.

Weather or provider cancellation

If the independent operator cancels because conditions are unsuitable, or the activity cannot be performed for an operational reason not caused by the participant, SkyAtlantida will offer free rescheduling or a refund of the deposit received by SkyAtlantida for the affected booking.

Genuine bank, payment-system, intermediary or currency-conversion charges that were not received by SkyAtlantida may be non-refundable only where they are unrecoverable and applicable law permits.

Travel and indirect expenses

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SkyAtlantida is not responsible for accommodation, transport, missed flights, lost working time, visa expenses or other indirect costs resulting from weather delays, operational changes, rescheduling or cancellation, unless such loss was directly caused by SkyAtlantida’s breach of a non-excludable legal duty.

13. Insurance

Where insurance is stated as included in the booking confirmation, it is provided or arranged under the applicable operator’s or insurer’s policy and remains subject to that policy’s limits, conditions, exclusions, deductibles, territorial scope and claims procedure.

Insurance is not a guarantee that every incident, injury, medical expense, evacuation, property loss or other claim will be covered. Participants are responsible for checking whether they require additional personal travel, medical, accident, rescue or adventure-sports insurance.

14. Personal Belongings, Media and Optional Services

Participants remain responsible for phones, cameras, glasses, jewelry, documents, money, clothing and other belongings. Items may be carried during the activity only with the pilot’s permission and must be secured as instructed.

A standard HD GoPro recording is included where stated in the selected package or booking confirmation. Photos, 360-degree video, additional GoPro recording, drone media, aerobatics, transfers and other optional services depend on separate availability, conditions and charges.

Media equipment can fail, recording can be interrupted and files can occasionally be corrupted or lost. Such a media issue does not invalidate a completed flight. If a separately paid media add-on is not supplied, the remedy relates to that add-on unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

15. Allocation and Limitation of Responsibility

SkyAtlantida is responsible for performing its own booking, communication, coordination and organization obligations with reasonable care.

The independent operator is responsible for operational performance, including pilot assignment, equipment, participant assessment, briefing, launch, take-off, flight and landing decisions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SkyAtlantida is not responsible for the independent acts, omissions, professional judgments or operational decisions of third-party providers that SkyAtlantida does not control.

The participant is responsible for loss, injury or consequences caused or materially contributed to by inaccurate information, an undisclosed medical condition, disregard of instructions, intoxication, reckless conduct or another act or omission of the participant.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the participant accepts the inherent risks of the activity and releases SkyAtlantida from claims arising solely from those inherent risks, the participant’s own conduct or operational matters controlled by an independent provider.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where that liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer right available under applicable law.

16. Events Beyond Reasonable Control

SkyAtlantida is not responsible for delay or non-performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe or rapidly changing weather, natural events, road closures, transport disruption, government restrictions, emergency situations, infrastructure failure, communication outages or unexpected unavailability of an independent provider.

When reasonably possible, SkyAtlantida will assist with rescheduling, alternative coordination or any refund required by the applicable cancellation conditions and mandatory law.

17. Complaints, Governing Law and Severability

Any issue should be reported to SkyAtlantida as soon as reasonably possible, together with the booking details and supporting information, so that it can be reviewed with the relevant independent provider.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. Disputes are subject to the courts and consumer-protection procedures available under applicable law. Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from using a mandatory complaint, regulatory or court procedure available to them.

If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will apply only to the maximum extent legally permitted. The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

18. Applicable Version and Individual Booking Details

The version of these Terms in effect when the booking is confirmed applies to that booking. Later changes do not apply retroactively unless required by law or expressly agreed with the client.

Specific commercial details in an individual booking confirmation, including the date, participant count, deposit, selected package, meeting point or appointment time, take priority over conflicting general commercial details in these Terms. Mandatory legal rights always remain unaffected.
