How it works

From meeting to memories — step by step

Step 1

Book on WhatsApp

Send us the date, approximate start time, number of quad bikes and guests, and whether you need a transfer. We check availability, hold the slot for up to 60 minutes and send a secure payment link or Bank of Georgia details. Once the deposit per quad (95 GEL for 30–60 min, 150 GEL for 90–120 min) is paid and you send a payment screenshot, the booking is confirmed and you receive the exact start point and final instructions.

Step 2

Meet, sign in, get briefed

Arrive 30 minutes before the start with a valid ID. The driver signs a responsibility form, everyone gets a helmet and goes through the safety briefing: spacing, speed, group riding order, passing oncoming vehicles and the instructor's signals.

Step 3

Ride the route with your guide

You follow the instructor in convoy (larger groups are escorted front and rear) along a route chosen for the season and conditions: mountain trails, rivers, open valleys and off-road sections. Average speed is 20–35 km/h with 15–20 m between vehicles, and the pace adapts to the group and the weather.

Step 4

Finish and share the moment

The ride ends after your chosen duration — 30 to 120 minutes. Hand back the helmet and the quad, keep the photos from the route and, if you enjoyed it, leave a review that helps the team a lot. Want more? We can suggest buggy, snowmobile and other formats in Gudauri.

Every participant attends the briefing before the start and the driver signs a responsibility form — only the person approved beforehand may operate the quad, and handing it to someone else is not allowed. On the route we keep 15–20 m between vehicles, slow down early on wet, rocky, narrow or dusty sections, stay strictly on the established track and follow the instructor's commands immediately; racing, drifting and aggressive manoeuvres are prohibited. FAQ

Quad Bike & ATV Tours in Gudauri: everything guests ask

What is a quad bike tour in Gudauri and who is it for?

It is a guided scenic ATV ride on mountain routes within 20 km of the resort: trails, rivers, open valleys and off-road sections. The format suits complete beginners, couples, friends and small groups — active, beautiful and under an instructor's control.

How long is the tour and which duration should I choose?

30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes (maximum 2 hours). 30–60 minutes is usually enough for a first ride, and 90–120 minutes gives you a full route with varied terrain. You are booking a slot in our schedule — the ride time counts from the moment the instructor starts working with you. Not sure? Message us on WhatsApp and we will suggest the best fit for your group and the season.

Is it a race? How fast do we ride?

No — it is a guided leisure ride, not a race. Average speed is about 20–35 km/h, and the pace adapts to the group, the weather and the trail; drifting, aggressive riding and sharp manoeuvres are not allowed.

What season do the tours run? Do you operate in winter?

Tours run year-round, weather and trail conditions permitting. In winter, from 1 December to 1 April, short winter rides are available — route availability and duration depend on snow and trail conditions, so please confirm longer formats when booking.

Do I need a driving licence? What is the minimum age to drive?

Driving — from 16 (no licence needed); passenger — from age 6. Age guideline for all activities — up to 70; older guests should consult their doctor and refrain if in doubt. Parents or guardians are responsible for children; if a child behaves unsafely for themselves or the group, the instructor may remove them from the activity with the full payment retained.

Can children ride as passengers?

Driving — from 16 (no licence needed); passenger — from age 6. Age guideline for all activities — up to 70; older guests should consult their doctor and refrain if in doubt. Parents or guardians are responsible for children; if a child behaves unsafely for themselves or the group, the instructor may remove them from the activity with the full payment retained.

How many people ride one quad, and is there a weight limit?

Weight limit — up to 140 kg per quad bike (1–2 people together); it is a safety requirement, so message us in advance if you are close to it.

Do I need experience? Is a quad hard to ride?

No experience is needed. You get a briefing before the start, the guide rides ahead at a relaxed pace, and the route is matched to the group's level. A quad is steered with handlebars like a motorcycle but sits steadily on four wheels — most guests feel comfortable within the first few minutes.

What should I wear?

Closed shoes are mandatory (no sandals or flip-flops), and clothes should match the weather and be ones you don't mind getting dirty: expect dust, mud, water spray or snow. Long trousers and sleeves protect from wind and branches, gloves and sunglasses are almost always useful, and dressing in layers is key in the mountains. In winter bring a warm jacket, gloves and snow-ready footwear; extra gear can be rented from our Gudauri rental.

What is provided on site — helmet, gear, gloves?

A helmet is provided for every participant and must be worn. Extra warm clothing, footwear and gloves beyond the basic setup are not part of the tour — if needed, you can rent them from our gear rental in Gudauri.

What is included in the price and what is not?

Included: the quad for the selected time, guide escort, briefing, helmet and seasonal route selection. Not included: transfer, food and drinks, extra warm clothing and gloves, and personal photo/video services (these can be added separately).

How much does it cost — is the price per quad or per person?

All prices are per quad bike, not per person: 30 min — 199 GEL, 60 — 349, 90 — 549, 120 — 649 GEL. One quad takes 1–2 people, and there are no hidden extras.

How do I book a quad bike?

Message us on WhatsApp +995 597 035 421 or Telegram @SkyAtlantida_AI_Manager_bot with the date, approximate start time, number of quads and guests, and whether you need a transfer and from where. We check availability, hold the slot for up to 60 minutes and send a payment link; once the deposit is paid and you send a screenshot, the booking is confirmed. We reply daily from 09:00 to 21:00 (GMT+4).

What deposit is required and how do I pay?

Deposit per quad bike: 95 GEL / 35 EUR for 30 and 60 min, 150 GEL / 50 EUR for 90 and 120 min. It secures the booking and is part of the price; the balance is paid on site. In bad weather or a safety cancellation — a free reschedule, or a refund minus bank fees and services already provided (5–10 business days). No-show or guest-initiated cancellation — the deposit is not refunded.

What happens if I am late or cancel?

The deposit is non-refundable for client cancellation, late arrival or no-show. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start: being more than 15 minutes late risks losing the slot, and late arrival shortens riding time without compensation. If your plans change, message us on WhatsApp as early as possible.

What if the weather is bad?

Mountain weather changes fast, so dress in layers for the conditions. We do not run the tour if the weather or trail conditions are unsafe — the responsible instructor on site decides, for safety reasons only. In that case we offer a free reschedule to another time or date, or refund the deposit minus bank fees and any services already provided within 5–10 business days.

Where is the meeting point and is transfer included?

The default meeting point is Café Bar PILOT in New Gudauri; the exact start point and meeting details are sent after booking confirmation. Transfer is not included: tell us in advance where to pick you up and we will check availability and quote the current price.

Can I come by my own car?

Yes, of course. If you arrive on your own, we send the exact location and meeting details separately after booking confirmation. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start to sign the form and go through the briefing without rushing.

Can I take photos and videos, bring a phone or GoPro?

Yes, but the driver keeps both hands on the handlebars while moving — the passenger films, or you shoot at stops. Secure your phone or camera firmly or keep it in a zipped pocket: expect vibration, dust and water on the route. Professional photo and video, including drone footage, is not included — it can be added separately, just ask on WhatsApp.

Can I ride after drinking alcohol?

No. Riding under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any impairing substance is prohibited — it is a core briefing rule, and the instructor on site will not let such a guest drive. Save the celebration for after the ride.

Can I ride if I am pregnant or have back, neck or heart problems?

We do not recommend it: the route runs over rough terrain with vibration and slopes. If you are pregnant or have recent surgery, back, neck or heart issues, consult your doctor and let us know in advance — the instructor on site makes the final decision for safety reasons.

Do I need insurance?

Insurance is not included in the tour price. We strongly recommend having a policy that covers active and adventure activities in Georgia, and checking in advance that quad bike tours are specifically included.

What language are the briefing and guiding in?

Booking and WhatsApp support are available in English and Russian. The instructor's language on the route is confirmed at booking: tell us which language you prefer and we will take it into account.

How is a quad bike different from a buggy or a snowmobile?

A quad is ridden motorcycle-style with handlebars and active body control; it takes 1–2 people, no licence is needed and the driver must be 16+. A buggy has car-style seating with a steering wheel and seat belts, in formats for 1–2, 1–4 and up to 6 people, but a valid category B driving licence is required to drive it. A snowmobile is a winter-only format. Not sure which to pick? Message us on WhatsApp and we will advise for your group and the season.
