Arrive 15–30 minutes before the start with your ID (drivers also need their driving licence). You sign the responsibility form, get your helmets and go through the briefing: distance, speed, signals and how the ride is organised.

The regular buggy is a compact format for 1–2 guests (from 499 GEL). The Turbo Maverick is a 4-seat turbo buggy: more power, more space and more dynamic routes for a group of up to 4 (from 699 GEL). The VIP Defender is a premium, calmer format for up to 6 guests with a focus on comfort and views (from 799 GEL).
There are 30, 60 and 90-minute formats. Routes are point-to-point rather than loops, so the longer the ride, the further and more scenic the locations. 30 minutes is enough for a first taste; for views and river crossings go for 60–90.
Year-round, with seasonal formats: winter offers 30 and 60 minutes, summer offers 30, 60 and 90 minutes. Route and pace are adapted to weather, visibility and terrain conditions.
Yes. Only a guest with a valid driving licence may drive, minimum driver age 18+; licence and ID are shown on site and the driver signs a responsibility form before the start. No licence? No problem — our guide drives and you ride as a passenger.
Driving — 18+ with a category B (international) driving licence; passenger — a child from age 2 held by a parent. Weight limit — up to 125 kg per person; it is a safety requirement, so message us in advance if you are close to it.
No. Previous buggy driving experience is not required — a valid licence is enough. There is a briefing before the start, and the guide sets the pace and escorts the group on the route.
Helmets are provided for everyone and are mandatory. Bring closed shoes, long trousers and layered clothing for the weather: a windproof jacket, gloves and sunglasses against dust and wind, plus warm waterproof gear in winter. Extra clothing, shoes and gloves can be rented through our Gudauri rental.
The briefing is mandatory for every participant. Key rules: keep a 15–20 m gap to other vehicles, slow down in advance on tricky sections, stay on the established route, keep right when passing oncoming vehicles, no drifting or aggressive driving, and follow the instructor's commands immediately. Treat the vehicle with care — intentional damage is charged separately.
Included: Turbo Maverick buggy for up to 4 guests, professional guide-driver, helmets for everyone, route planning and the safety briefing. Not included: transfers (arranged separately), food and drinks, extra warm clothing beyond the standard setup, personal photo and video services.
Current prices by format are in the "Formats & prices" block above. Deposit: 300 GEL per buggy. It secures the booking and is part of the price; the balance is paid on site. In bad weather or a safety cancellation — a free reschedule, or a refund minus bank fees and services already provided (5–10 business days). No-show or guest-initiated cancellation — the deposit is not refunded.
Message us on WhatsApp at +995 551 355 000 with your full names, date, preferred time, number of guests and whether you need a transfer. We reply daily from 09:00 to 21:00 (GMT+4). A booking is confirmed only after the deposit is paid; for weekends and high season book in advance.
If weather or route conditions make the ride unsafe, the tour is rescheduled, changed or cancelled — the responsible instructor decides on site. If SkyAtlantida cancels, we first offer a free reschedule; if that is impossible, the deposit is refunded minus bank fees within 5–10 business days.
If the guest cancels or does not show up, the deposit is non-refundable. If your plans change, message us as early as possible and we will try to find another date. Full details are on the Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy pages.
The tour runs in Gudauri; the exact start point is sent once your booking is confirmed, with Café Bar PILOT in New Gudauri as the landmark. Transfers are arranged separately: from Gudauri 139 GEL (up to 2 guests) / 179 GEL (up to 4), from Stepantsminda 199 / 229 GEL, from Tbilisi 349 / 449 GEL; an extra stop or waiting time is 80 GEL per hour.
15–30 minutes before the start: you need to sign the responsibility form, fit your helmets and go through the briefing. Being more than 15 minutes late shortens your ride and may cost you the slot.
Yes, bring your phone or action camera at your own risk: secure it well and never film while driving — the guide stops at viewpoints for photos. Professional photo and video, including FPV and DJI drone footage, can be booked separately.
Yes, it is the most convenient way for four people to ride together in one vehicle. For groups larger than 4 we arrange several buggies or the VIP Defender for up to 6 guests — tell us your group setup and we will suggest the best option.
The route is genuine off-road — bumps, vibration and sharp terrain changes — so the ride is not recommended for pregnant guests or anyone with back or neck injuries, cardiovascular conditions or recent surgery. Tell us about health conditions before booking; the final decision on admission is made by the instructor on site.
No. Participation under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any impairing substance is prohibited for drivers and passengers alike — the instructor will not admit you to the ride. Celebrate after the finish at Café Bar PILOT instead.
Insurance is not included, but we strongly recommend arriving with a policy that covers active and adventure activities in Georgia. Check in advance that your policy specifically includes buggy tours.
Booking and all coordination are in English and Russian via WhatsApp. SkyAtlantida organises and coordinates the tour, while it is carried out by an independent licensed operator with a professional guide; the guide's language on the route is confirmed at booking.
The route is bumpy, but an open buggy with a clear view ahead is easier on the stomach than a closed car. If you are prone to motion sickness, sit in front, keep your eyes on the trail, avoid a heavy meal before the start and begin with the 30-minute format — you can always rest at the viewpoint stops.
