SKYDIVING · FOR LICENSED SOLO & BASE JUMPERS

Exit from a paraglider for skydivers and BASE jumpers — Gudauri, Georgia

SkyAtlantida regularly organizes skydives from an unpowered paraglider in Gudauri for experienced skydivers. You jump with your own rig; our pilot flies the paraglider.

First jump ever? → Tandem skydiving in Telavi
You exit only if you want toSeparation from the paraglider happens only when you feel safe. Not ready — you stay on the wing and simply fly. Nobody pushes you.

What it is

Instead of an airplane door, you exit from a tandem paraglider in quiet mountain air above the Caucasus. You sit with our pilot, climb with the wing and separate when conditions and your own readiness allow. This is a regular SkyAtlantida programme, run all year round when the weather allows. Only a few pilots fly these exits, so plan and book ahead.

Who it is for

  • Licensed skydivers and BASE jumpers with their own rig
  • At least 50 BASE jumps, video proof of experience and a licence or qualification document
  • Your first exit from a paraglider is fine — we prepare and train you on the ground

Experience and equipment are evaluated individually; BASE experience alone is not automatic admission.

Included and what to bring

  • Included: preparation, transfer to the launch (by car in summer), return after landing
  • Not included: cable car and ski pass in winter (paid by the participant); filming is arranged separately
  • Bring: your own correctly packed rig (two for several jumps a day), helmet (mandatory), altimeter, all your BASE gear
  • We do not rent rigs

How it works

  1. Request. Send the form below with your experience, rig and dates. We check it and reply in the chat.
  2. Quote and slot. The manager confirms the date, the conditions and the price. A deposit invoiced in the chat secures your slot.
  3. Arrival. Be there 30 minutes before the agreed time.
  4. Briefing and ground training. 15–30 minutes: seating, separation, the landing area, terrain and weather; your rig is inspected.
  5. Flight and exit. We go to the launch when the weather allows and you exit at the highest altitude the day permits — only if you want to.
  6. Landing and return. We organize the return of participants after landing.

Safety and your decision

  • The pilot and the operator decide on the flight, the altitude and the conditions, and may refuse, change or cancel at any time.
  • Your parachute and its packing are your responsibility; we handle preparation, briefing, organization and the landing-area review.
  • A risk acknowledgment is signed before the jump (one per participant). A signed document, a deposit, a booking or ground training are not permission to jump.

Special terms — summary

What the service is

Preparation and a flight on an unpowered tandem paraglider with an in-air exit by an experienced skydiver or BASE jumper, Gudauri, Georgia. It is not a tandem jump and not a service for beginners. SkyAtlantida organizes and coordinates; the paraglider is flown by our pilot.

Admission

At least 50 BASE jumps, video proof of experience and a licence or other qualification document. Experience and equipment are evaluated individually; BASE experience alone does not mean automatic admission. You give your details truthfully; your request and our correspondence are kept.

Equipment

Your own correctly packed rig (two are better for several jumps a day); we do not rent rigs. A helmet is mandatory; bring an altimeter. Packing and the condition of the rig are the participant’s responsibility; the equipment is inspected by a competent person approved by the operator, and there is no exit without their confirmation.

Briefing and preparation

Arrive 30 minutes before the agreed time. Individual briefing and ground training take 15–30 minutes. A signed document, a deposit, a booking or completed ground training are not permission to jump.

The decision to jump and altitude

You exit only if you want to and feel safe; if you are not ready, you stay on the paraglider and simply fly. Exit altitude, flight duration and the jump itself are not guaranteed: the pilot and the operator decide and may refuse, change, postpone or cancel the activity at any time. Your own view of altitude does not define a safe or approved exit altitude.

Weather

The pilot assesses the weather. If we cancel for unsafe weather or force majeure, we offer a new date; the deposit is then refunded or moved under the booking terms.

Price and payment

The manager quotes the price individually after checking your request, before booking; it covers preparation, transfer to the launch (by car in summer) and the return of participants after landing. In winter the cable car and ski pass are paid by the participant; filming is extra. The slot is secured with a deposit invoiced in the chat. If preparation and the flight are provided and you decide not to exit, the service price remains payable to the extent Georgian law allows; a refusal by the pilot or operator, weather or incompatible equipment do not count as your decision.

Insurance and risk

This is an extreme activity with a risk of serious injury or death. We recommend insurance that explicitly covers it. Before the jump every participant signs a risk acknowledgment: download it, print it, sign it and send a photo in the chat.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia, subject to mandatory legal protections.

Full terms: section 12 of our Terms & Conditions →

Documents

Download, print and sign the risk acknowledgment, then send a photo of it in the chat — we do not send it to you.

What if I change my mind in the air?

You stay on the paraglider and simply fly. Nobody pushes you to exit.

What altitude do you exit at?

Altitude is not fixed or guaranteed. It depends on the weather, thermals, the launch and the configuration; the pilot and the operator decide.
