Safety Briefing for Buggy and Quad Bike Tours

This page exists so guests understand the core participation rules, admission conditions, and personal responsibility connected with buggy and quad bike tours before booking and before arrival.

  • By paying a deposit and confirming a booking, you confirm that you reviewed this page and agree to follow these rules.
  • The person operating the vehicle accepts responsibility for careful and safe use of that vehicle.
  • For buggy driving, a valid driver’s license is required.
  • For quad bike driving, a driver’s license is not required, but the rider must be at least 16 years old.
  • Guests aged 16-17 may participate only with prior approval and with an adult responsible for them.
  • On arrival, participating drivers sign an additional responsibility form and must have valid ID with them.
A final operational briefing is also given on site before the tour begins.

Important Before the Tour Starts

Buggy and quad bike tours take place on mountain and off-road terrain where route conditions may change quickly because of rocks, slopes, drop-offs, water, mud, snow, dust, and weather.

For that reason, guests should understand in advance the group movement logic, the driver requirements, the required distance between vehicles, the right way to pass oncoming vehicles, and the need to follow instructor directions at all times.

Core Safety Rules

01

Safety briefing is mandatory

Every participant must attend the briefing before the start and follow the rules for the full route.

02

Sober condition only

Participation under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other impairing substance is not allowed.

03

Distance is mandatory

A safe gap must be kept between vehicles, usually at least 15-20 meters unless the on-site briefing requires otherwise.

04

Speed must stay controlled

Speed must be reduced in advance on wet, rocky, dusty, narrow, steep, or otherwise difficult sections.

05

Dangerous maneuvers are prohibited

Aggressive riding, risky turns, sharp drifting, and other unsafe maneuvers are not allowed.

06

Only the approved driver may operate

Only the person approved before the start and signed into the responsibility form may operate the vehicle.

07

Protective equipment is required

Helmets are provided and must be worn. Closed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are also required. Extra gear can be rented through our Gudauri rental page.

08

Stop when instructed

If you are told to stop, slow down, or change your position in the group, you must do so immediately.

How Group Movement Is Managed

Route

Ride only on the established route

Guests may not leave the route, cut across sections, or change direction on their own. Some areas can be rocky, steep, or exposed.

Escort

Instructors control the movement

Depending on group size, one instructor may ride in front, or the group may be managed from both front and rear. They control the movement logic.

Passing

Stay right on oncoming sections

If another vehicle is approaching, reduce speed early, move to the right, and pass calmly following instructor guidance.
