MAIN SECTIONS

Rules that apply during rental

Below is the full legal and operational logic of the page, kept clear and structured.

01 – General client responsibility

The client bears full financial responsibility for the rented equipment from the moment it is handed over until it is returned and inspected by a SkyRent SkyAtlantida staff member.

As a guarantee of responsibility and payment obligations, the client leaves:

  • a passport
  • or an ID card

The document remains with SkyRent SkyAtlantida for the entire rental period and is returned only after confirmation that the equipment has been returned in proper condition.

02 – Equipment condition at handover

Before the rental starts:

  • the equipment is photographed and/or recorded on video
  • its current condition is shown to the client

Photos and videos are considered the official record of equipment condition.

If the client notices any issue, it must be reported before skiing or riding begins. Claims raised after use has started are not accepted.

03 – Normal wear – not payable

Normal rental wear includes:

  • minor superficial base scratches
  • light marks on the edges
  • cosmetic signs of standard use
  • loss of factory shine

These traces are considered normal and are not subject to extra payment.

04 – Damage – payable

Damage includes, without limitation:

  • deep scratches and holes in the base
  • damage caused by rocks
  • bent or torn-out edge sections
  • chips, cracks, delamination
  • binding damage
  • boot damage
  • rough or improper use of the equipment

All damage is payable in full according to the SkyRent SkyAtlantida cost appendix shown below on this page.

If the equipment cannot be repaired, a full replacement charge applies.

05 – Rocks and low-snow conditions
Important

The client understands that Gudauri may have:

  • low-snow sections
  • visible rocks, especially at the beginning and end of the season

If rocks are visible, the client must:

  • remove skis or snowboard
  • walk across the dangerous section

Riding directly over rocks is treated as gross negligence and leads to full financial responsibility.

06 – Prohibited use
Very important

Rental equipment may not be used:

  • in snowparks
  • on rails, boxes, pipes, or metal structures
  • on asphalt, roads, or exposed rocks
  • for jibbing or tricks

Rental equipment is not park equipment unless specifically agreed in advance.

07 – Repair and equipment downtime

In case of damage, the client pays for:

  • the actual repair cost
  • equipment downtime if it cannot be rented out

Repairs are not completed overnight, so the equipment may be unavailable for the next rental day.

08 – Document as payment guarantee

The client understands and accepts that:

  • a cash deposit does not cover potentially serious damage or full replacement value
  • therefore, an identity document is used as a guarantee of financial obligations

By leaving a passport or ID card, the client confirms:

  • payment ability
  • agreement to pay for repair or replacement if needed
  • acceptance of the SkyRent SkyAtlantida cost appendix shown below

In the event of refusal to pay, the document is not returned until the issue is fully resolved.

09 – CRITICAL SECTION

Non-return of equipment or refusal to pay

In case of:

  • non-return of equipment
  • refusal to pay for damage or replacement

SkyRent SkyAtlantida reserves the right to:

  • retain the identity document
  • contact law enforcement authorities
  • start legal action under Georgian law
