Paragliding in Georgia has become a place of income and fraud for intermediary and inexperienced pilots. Intermediaries wear colorful paraglider T-shirts to attract attention and may promise you a lower price or more flight time (official companies have fixed prices and flight times). Sometimes the intermediary can be your taxi driver, a tour guide or an employee of the hotel where you are staying.
The danger is that the intermediary, in order to earn money, uses the service of “pilots” who do not have enough paragliding experience and licenses confirming their qualifications. Such “pilots” charge a minimal fee for providing their services, and practice on you without any liability. As a result, you will be disappointed with low-quality service, often accompanied by poor video quality, and sometimes no video at all, bad takeoff – landing…

1. We start in the area of the Gudauri ski resort (altitude 2,750 m - 3,006 m above sea level).
2. The duration of the tandem tour will be 8-15 minutes.
3. Landing is carried out at an altitude of 2,000 - 2,200 m.

In terms of time, the entire program, from the moment the client meets the instructor, takes about 90 minutes.
Initially, tandem paragliders were created for training flights with cadets of paragliding schools. However, not everyone can afford paragliding training from a financial point of view. Therefore, it was decided to conduct paragliding excursions with an instructor, so that everyone could experience the feeling of free flight. You don’t need to go through lengthy training courses and spend impressive amounts, just want to take an unforgettable walk in the clouds.
The aircraft takes off due to the oncoming air currents from the headwind. In order to generate the aerodynamic force that assists the takeoff, the instructor and passenger must run apart, and in some cases take only a few quick steps.
Important! If the pilot asks you to “dance” a little with him or run down the slope, do not try to jump or land, because the device will not be able to take to the sky without the help of a passenger. Conquer your fear once, just run down and you will understand what a real drive is! You need to move forward until the moment of takeoff. Most often it takes from 5 to 10 meters.
The place of the instructor in tandem is behind the guest. This guarantees the passenger 100% visibility and the opportunity to feel the whole reality, and sometimes the surreality of what is happening.
