The Aragvi River is located in eastern Georgia - the municipalities of Kazbegi, Dusheti and Mtskheta. The length of the river is 112 km, the catchment area is 2724 square kilometers. The system of Aragvi rivers consists of Mtiuleti (white) Aragvi, Gudamakari (black) Aragvi, Khevsurskaya Aragvi and Pshavskaya Aragvi. The main tributary of the Aragvi begins in the north-eastern part of the volcanic mountains. Aragvi in the upper and middle reaches is mountainous in nature, the lower part, which flows along the Mukhrani and Mtskheta plains, is flat and flows into the left channel of the Kura River in Mtskheta.
